"World Environment Day" has been commended each year since June fifth, 1973. Assigned by the United Nation's General Assembly, it is the key vehicle for empowering overall mindfulness and activity for the insurance of our condition. The objective of observing "World Environment Day" was to bring issues to the light of ecological issues like marine contamination, a dangerous atmospheric deviation, supportable utilization, deforestation and untamed life poaching.
The topic for World Environment Day 2017, was 'Interfacing People with Nature.' It entreats us to get outside and into nature, to value its excellence and its significance, and to accept forward the call to secure the Earth that we share. To stamp the day, thousands held hands and confessed all forward to up shorelines and riverbanks over the globe. To remember this in Mumbai, 500 palm trees were planted crosswise over Versova Beach.
At Dai-ichi, we commend this occasion each year to spread mindfulness on ecological issues, urging individuals to advance maintainable and eco-accommodating improvement, while keeping their environment clean. With an end goal to keep up our elevated expectations of social obligation, we sorted out exercises for our workers to partake in.
Mr. Ijajuddin Sayyad, from our EHS office, underscored the need of having a useful arrangement to relieve threatening ecological issues that must be settled in the event that we feel near the earth around us. Dr. Sanjay Puro featured the issue of land contamination and its negative consequences for the earth and thus on our day to day lives. He clarified the endeavors that Dai-ichi has taken, on following moral business procedures to stay submitted towards ecological wellbeing and security. Mr. Pathak finished up the function with a vote of thanks and a vow for the benefit of every last representative to ensure and preserve the earth.
On this day, Dai-ichi effectively finished a tree ranch drive, that our workers energetically took an interest in. A sum of 100 saplings and bushes were planted all through the Pune processing plant premises. Dai-ichi has been observing World Environment Day for more than 25 years and plans to keep on supporting this unique day.
